apollokino.ee

Website of the Apollo Kino cinema chain

The website of the Apollo Kino cinema chain — five pages, 917 requests, 731 of them images for the film listings. A CookieYes banner with a 'Keeldu kõigist' button on the first screen, the decision is recorded, and Google Tag Manager did not launch a single analytics or advertising tag throughout the capture. The Apollo group's policy is detailed and names the controller. The only remark concerns the Help Scout support widget, which loads before any choice and is named nowhere. No violations recorded.

Context

apollokino.ee is the website of the Apollo Kino cinema chain, part of the Apollo group. The parent company is Apollo Group OÜ (registration code 12383236, Tartu mnt 80d, Tallinn). According to the group’s policy, Apollo Kino acts as the controller for ticket sales. Consent is managed by CookieYes, and ticketing runs on the Markus platform.

The measurement is a single capture of five pages: the homepage in Estonian, then the Russian version — the homepage, the film friends club, and the listings. In total, 917 requests, 731 of them film listing images from images.markus.live.

Processing is described by the Apollo group’s general privacy policy and the CookieYes cookie declaration.

Who receives data directly

Before any choice — Google (loading the Tag Manager container), Help Scout, Cloudflare, CookieYes, and the Markus platform.

Declared versus actual

The banner offers refusal on the first screen: “Keeldu kõigist” sits next to “Nõustun kõigi küpsistega”. The consent button is highlighted in colour while the refuse button has a plain style, but refusal is present on the first layer and takes one click. CookieYes records the decision on its server.

The key point is the network picture. The cookie declaration lists, among others, Meta’s advertising _fbp cookie, yet across five pages neither Meta, nor Google Analytics, nor any other advertising network loaded. The Google Tag Manager container loads on every page and launches no tags. This is consistent with the tags waiting for the visitor’s decision.

One remark. The Help Scout Beacon support widget loads on every page before any choice and contacts its servers for settings. It is named neither in the cookie declaration nor in the policy. Help Scout is an American company, while the policy states that data is, as a rule, not transferred outside the EU. The widget should either be named in the declaration or loaded only when the chat button is clicked.

Proven: refusal is available on the first layer. The “Keeldu kõigist” button in screenshot 1.

Proven: no analytics or advertising tags fired in the capture. Not a single request to Google Analytics, Meta, or other advertising networks throughout the capture.

Proven: Help Scout loads before any choice and is not named. Requests to beacon-v2.helpscout.net on every page; a search of both saved documents.

Not established: which decision was recorded. The content of the requests to log.cookieyes.com was removed during cleaning. Behaviour after full consent was not tested.

Boundaries of this observation

The measurement covers the site’s public pages. No ticket was purchased and the club was not signed into. The observation records browser behavior, not server-side processing. The file has been published cleaned: Cookie headers and POST request bodies were removed.

Legal assessment falls to the competent authority — the Andmekaitse Inspektsioon.

Conclusion

Apollo Kino keeps consent under control: refusal on the first screen, the decision is recorded, and analytics and advertising stay silent in the capture. The group’s policy is detailed and names the controller. No violations recorded.

Suggestion: add the Help Scout widget to the cookie declaration, or load it only when the chat button is clicked.

How to verify: download the file and compute its checksum — sha256sum file.har (Linux, macOS) or certutil -hashfile file.har SHA256 (Windows); it must match the one shown. The conclusions apply to the scope of this measurement — see the limitations of the method.
